Service West Expands Service Coverage for Federal Office Relocation GSA Schedule 48 Contract Covers Moving, Installation and Related Services

Service West announced the award of a US General Services Administration contract to supply GSA buyers with office relocation services under Schedule 48, Special Item Number 653-8. The contract, awarded for an initial five-year period commencing July 1, 2009, covers moving and installation and related warehousing, delivery, and furniture product-support services. The Schedule 48 contract makes Service West’s office relocation capabilities available to all authorized buyers under GSA’s Multiple Award Schedules program, thus marking the company’s debut as a government-wide federal supplier. Service West has been providing relocation services to federal buyers in GSA Region 9 under a blanket purchase agreement since 2008. Region 9 consists of California, Nevada, Arizona and Hawaii.

Service West, with branches in Oakland, South San Francisco, Sacramento and Anaheim, California; Las Vegas, Nevada; and Bayonne, New Jersey, is a major government supplier of commercial moving, furniture installation and warehousing services. The company serves State of California agencies on a state-wide basis through a Master Services Agreement for office moving services and three regional sole-source contracts for installation and on-site support of office furniture systems and call centers manufactured and marketed by the California Prison Industry Authority.
